3 Day Cruise – The Perfect Getaway

The perfect getaway in my estimation is a 3 day cruise. It is an ideal break for both novice and veteran cruise goers alike. They are especially great for people that are new to sailing because it gives them the experience of being on a full cruise without having to commit for a longer period of time. That’s important because let’s face it, sailing the open seas isn’t for everyone.

And of course they are much more affordable than the longer cruises. I can’t think of too many things I would rather do than take a quick vacation, or a 3 day weekend, and spend it on a luxury cruise ship as it navigates the ocean. It is a great break in our sometimes monotonous lives and allows us to refuel, physically, mentally and spiritually.

The wonderful thing about a 3 day cruise is that you can do virtually anything you like because it offers all of the same amenities that the longer cruises do except for perhaps fewer ports of call. The onboard activities are at once exciting and relaxing, depending upon how you want to spend your time. After all, this is your vacation and you are going to enjoy it the way you see fit.

For shopping enthusiasts there are plenty of onboard stores, shops and boutiques to browse through as well as the opportunities to shop at the ports of call. Onboard activities include games, shows, casinos, bars, nightclubs, pools, health clubs, spas… well I could keep going on and on but I think you get the point.

And of course if you simply want to relax then by all means grab yourself a good book, slip on your iPod and go deck-side or find yourself a private little nook on the ship that you can claim as your own. Many ships also have private balconies on some rooms which are ideal for relaxing and taking in the most beautiful views in the world.

If nothing else cruise ships are known for their food. There are different restaurants available that range anywhere from serving buffets to formal sitdown dinners where fine dining is on the menu. If you would like a little quiet time in your room then room service is also available for the asking. You can also always grab snacks and drinks whenever you like throughout the day and night as well.

A 3 day cruise is ideal for individuals, couples and entire families. They are very affordable and can be squeezed in just about any time you like. A great cost saving tip is to check for last-minute specials. If you can pick up and take off at any time you may just find yourself taking a cruise at a deep, deep discount. Bon Voyage!
